For today’s episode of the Know Your Rights Camp podcast, Nicole Martin, Legal Program Director for the Autopsy Initiative, interviews 17-year-old Cayden Brown. Brown, a youth from Detroit, represents young people in court who have committed misdemeanors across Michigan. His interest in law was sparked by his parents' divorce when he was six, where he felt he had no say in the proceedings. Brown is part of the Teen Court program, which operates on the principle of peer-driven justice efficiency, believing that peers are better at driving change and dealing with juvenile offenders.
