Alana Burke and Crystal Bernard are passionate about sharing Detroit's rich history with the youth at the Know Your Rights Camp. They find inspiration in the city's intelligent and creative young people, aiming to bridge generational knowledge and future visions. Both women believe understanding Detroit's past, including the 1967 Rebellion, empowers the youth to transform their community and navigate their future. They are deeply moved by the youths' eagerness to learn, feeling hopeful that these young people will continue to explore and cherish their heritage, using it as a foundation for progress and activism.
