Held at the historic Audubon Ballroom in The Malcolm X & Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center on January 14, 2017 in Harlem, New York, our second Know Your Rights Camp served over 200 youth. Speakers included Ameer Hasan Loggins, doctoral student in African Diaspora Studies at U.C. Berkeley; Carmen Perez, Co-Founder of The Gathering for Justice; Mariela Regalado, college counselor for Juan Morel Campos Secondary School in Brooklyn; Jay Morrison, real estate investor & entrepreneur; and “Doctor Natural,” a holistic health educator.
